Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could offer me some type of advice. I weigh 140lbs and I want to get down to about 125. I am also a diabetic, and this site says I could eat around 280 carbs a day and that seems like a lot to me and also the same thing with 1800 calories. Right now, I don't do any activity but have filled out the exercise plan and am going to stick to that.
I was just wondering in order to get my weight to my goal, how many calories/carbs/ and water should I be eating and drinking? If anyone has an idea..
Before I wasn't taking my insulin properly (stupid, I know) but recent events have changed me and I am doing things right. I know that insulin can cause weight gain and I don't want that-I just want to be healthy. So if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
I do know that since you are diabetic, you do have to eat especially more when you start exercising. I wouldn't count calories as much, but just eat a sensible breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack in between, but healty snacks. Just make concious decisions. I did have a diabetic in my personal training class, and she didn't count calories too much. She ate 3 meals a day, and healthy snacks in between. Before and after exercising, she made sure she always ate something even if it was a just a protein bar or apple. Her concern was the time of day she would always eat since that does have an effect on diabetics as well.
