I AM TOTALLY STUCK. I HAVE LOST 100 LBS ALREADY AND I HAVE HIT MY BOTTOM AND IM STICKING THERE I AM 57 AND WEIGH 160 I WANT TO GET TO 140. I JOINED LA WEIGHT LOSS BUT THAT WAS A BUST I LOST 10 LBS BUT I GAINED IT BACK WHEN I WAS DONE. I EXERCISE AND I EAT HEALTHY I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO

Im almost 18 years old. Im going to be getting married soon. Im 5'7 and weight 220-230lbs. I have tried everything. diets, not eating, drinking water, walking, swimming, and i even got so desperate i took diet pills. I have no idea what to do. Im supposed to be getting married to my wonderful boyfriend here soon. I wanna look pretty for him. Not this fat ugly girl. Everytime someone see me with my mom, they always say your mom is so pretty and skinny what happened to you? && because of that i've got VERY LOW self-esteem. Can you help me PLEASE!?

Calories, Calories, Calories...You must create a caloric deficit to lose fat, through diet, exercise, or a combination of the two. I don't expect you to manually count your caloric intake for the day because it becomes so tidious for someone who isn't completely dedicated to fitness, but what you should try to do is control your portion sizes, eat frequently throughout the day, and do some cardio activities that you enjoy, and will keep going back to them.

I have always exercised without diet, I have never been over 150 lbs, even after my last two pregnancies. Now that I have turned 37 years old, I have went from 135 lbs to 150. What can I do to lose the weight and tone up?

i cant seem to draw my self away from food and when i do i exersie for about 2 week and nuthing happens. i know things dont happen over night but come on im 4'10''150 lbs 10 grade sophmore and on top of that i african american with a mother from down south. with all the fats in food whats is there else to eat she supports me but she has other kids that need to get fed and i cant cook plus i dont have access to a gym. i refue to pay that much plus i cant afford it.:laugh::dumbbell::angry:

Hello, im 6'2 at 335,when i was in high school,about 4 years ago i was in football and wrestling, since i have grad,i have lost the will or the drive to work out. I guess it because i had a a goal to meet at the end of every week,running and weights to get ready for the football games or wrestling matches,it was fun and easy because their were outher guys woking for the same thing at the same time. How do i get my self back into it?

I slip back to my anorexic habits. HELP!!!! I am 30, I wiegh 208 lbs. approx. I have tried losing weight over and over again. My thin family loves the carbs and there are 5 of us. I have a problem I do not understand. I only eat a small lunch usually healthy or something on the go and then a normal portion of dinner. I am just not hungry till after 2 pm. But when I really think about it I don't eat that much. I have coffee for breakfast and micro-dinner( you know the smartchoice or leancuisine) for lunch with juice or tea. My dinner is usually healthy too, a bigger proportion but after such a long day at work and walking alot-- outside sales; why am I so heavy. What I can't understand is why when I start eating the way my doctor says and working out 3 to 5 times a week, I gained 17 lbs. and gave up. this was ofcourse after 4 months of working at it. I resorted back to limited workouts and regular diet and lost 6 lbs. in 2 weeks; over 3 months ago. Not a pound more since. Anyone got any ideas?
I don't eat much do I? or am I fooling myself. Realize I am on a very limited income and hamburger helpers are served weekly for dinner.
Could it be stress from work, my marriage (suffering from weight gain) and of course my lovely 3 children, 2 of which are now teenage boys? I don't want to take medication to lose weight but I am really feeling desperate at this point.

Hey, ok so im 18 almost 19, i weigh about 182 lbs and i go to the gym a few times a week, i do have muscle but i have about a half an inch to an inch oh fat around my waist, and thighs. So what do you think is the best and fastest way to get rid of this fat, and get defined?:)

I am 5'7" and 160 pounds and a size 12. I would like to be a size 10. I workout 5 days a week with 30 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes walk/run on the treadmill. I have been doing about 100 situps, and some triceps and upper arms. I have a pear shape and carry a lot of weight in my hips/butt area. What workout can you suggest that will help tone these areas?

Okay I am new to this whole lose weight thing. I am 27 years old five foot eight inches and weigh about 158 Lbs. I have given birth to six babies and would like to get down to about 140. I have started using a cross trainer about an hour a day and doing some small exercises I read in a magazine. I don't know what else to do. I only have time to eat like once a day but when I do eat it is usually nachos or enchiladas or whatever I am making for my husband and kids. I drink a lot of coffee and water no pop or anything like that. Any recommendations on how to lose 15 pounds?

If noone answers any of your questions in this post, its because there isnt a " Fast " way to lose weight, it took you years to put it on didnt it ?????

A clean proper diet, sensible exercise and a healthy lifestyle is the only weigh to lose weight....

DESIRE to be healthy DEDICATION to your diet and exercise program DISCIPLINE to living a healthy lifestyle... Its very simple to say, very hard to do..

Yeah, want fast, try a concentration camp. We have to be realistic here....fast is a relative term. All must understand that weight loss is not like a fast food drive through, order and your order is filled at the drive through 30 ft. away.

If this sound fecetious, it is. We live in a 'fast food mentality' these days. If it were that easy to lose weight, everyone would not be on these boards over and over again looking for that magic pill that somehow everyone else has overlooked. There is no magic out there folks.

If you want to loose weight fast, you have to burn more calories than what you take in. That is the only way anyone looses weight. Try to reduce your calorie intake and do more cadio to help burn more fat. Try not to eat candy or fast food as much. Even just working outside in the yard is a good start and will help a lot.

Hi becca - go back and read through this entire post and you will find that anyone who knows anything about fitness, health and weight loss will agree there is no 'fast' way to lose weight. it takes a healthy eating plan, lots of exercise, rest, and water.

Start by cutting out junk foods - anything made with white sugar, white flour...anything fried. Especially avoid soda and other sugary soft drinks.

Eat a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, a wide variety of whole grains, lean proteins like chicken and fish, and nuts and seeds and beans.

Focus on moving more than you usually do - walking, rollerblading, playing catch football, anything that is fun and gets you moving. you can even find a local lpayground and workout on the equipment there - you can do pull-ups (modified), lunges, squats, push-ups...anything you can think of.

If there is a nature area near you that has a long flight of stairs you can go and just set a timer and go up and down the stairs for 20 minutes.

The only thing that limits you is your imagination :)

Fitness does not have to be complex or fancy, just get moving.
