How come when i eat fibrous vegetables not only to i not get full but i get a wierd stomach ache that says i need some steak? Well thats what i constitute the pain as haha its almost like a like burn in the middle of my stomach i feel i need heavy filling food and even if i eat a lot of fibrous food to the point of over stuffed it almost immediatly goes to that pain like the food dissolves and then makes me feel empty stomached lol. Maybe its mental? lol I have no idea.

Thanks for the great list! It gives me great ideas for my grocery list.

I'm just starting an exercise program tomorrow and am unsure of what would be good, quick breakfast ideas before I hit the gym.

Thanks for any help!

Callie

There have been posts about both cravings and breakfast ideas - try doing a fitbuddy search (bottom of the screen) - put in the term you are loooking for and it will pull up relevant posts.

I use a great breakfast idea. Don't prejudge it try it first.

EVERY morning, after my workout. I blend 2-3 cups of spinach with a frozen banana and 1/4 c. of nf yogurt (protein powder some days). If I am having eggs or eggwhite omelet I leave out the protein supplement. I share it with my youngest son and find it gets me off on the right start each day. It looks weird but it tastes great and is filled with nutrients.

If I run out of spinach, I will drink fresh carrot juice with an orange and a couple strawberries.

The thing I love about these drinks is it is juice but I control what goes into it and thus the amount of sugar. It has less sugar than store bought juices, is fresh, I can utilize organic fruits.

Just an idea!

Great list but I disagree with the diet and sugar free substitutes r/t to the chemicals used to create such foods.

As for juice I tell my patients that they should cut their juice with 50% water, for a soda flavor I tell them to cut their juice with sparkling water.

2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar in 250ml of water has been shown to control sugar levels as well as sugar cravings according to medical research. If you need to sweeten the drink you can use stevia it has zero calories and does not raise your glycemic index.
