Hi everyone. I don't know how many others there are on this site that are also severely overweight, but I hope we can all work together through this message board. Support from others makes a big difference.

Anyhow. I have started to notice a few "changes". I've been doing step aeorbics 3 times a week for almost 2 months now and I've just started the weight program on this site (finished week 1 this morning). We use alot of weights at the step class so I have to give that class most of the credit at this point. I've noticed some clear muscle gain in my arms. I am constantly bugging my husband that one day I'll have bigger pipes than he does! And - forgive me if this sounds weird, especially to the guys - but my knees are not nearly as fat. And my hamstrings are so much stronger. Unfortunately I don't think my weight has changed much and I don't think my clothes feel that much different, but my body sure does.

Stick with it everyone! One trip to the gym at a time.

As you build muscle things might get tighter at first, but then weight will come off. It takes time. I am doing the same things ie cardio& weights in order to lose about 60lbs. My arms are starting to show like you(nice aint it?) and eventually I know I will be able to wear some of the jeans that have been sitting in my closet for 3 years. Just gotta keep at it!!!
