I love food and I'm trying to take off a few pounds. My bodyfat is 20%. I'm 5-10 and weigh around 245 and I'm a student at chico state university. What would be a good recommendation for me to take off a few pounds?

Hello
I am almost the same height and weight, and I have been going to a ladies only gym. I am using the bikes, treadmills and ellipticals. I went to my first aerobics class today but I felt very strange as I wasnt familiar with the routines. However we need to both find what we enjoy and stick with it. It didnt come on overnight so it wont go off overnight either. I am also trying to take stairs instead of elevators and walk the long way home and walk instead of taking the bus and basically fit more excercise and less counterproductive eating into my daily life. Also you might want to try green tea and protein shakes. Email me if youd like a fit buddy

assante and Janice - there is so much great information in all of the forums here - take a look.
I think most of us love food - it is just the kinds of food we love and the amounts we eat that create a problem.
check out grocery list for a bodybuilder - it is a great place to start designing a healthier eating plan.
Pick one of the programs here at freetrainers, be consistent with your eating and exercise and you should get results!
-------------- "To be able to go to the gym and train hard is a joy and a privelege, even though the hard work necessitates driving yourself through considerable discomfort. Savor this privelege and blessing, and revel in it."
