I guess it's time to take the cardio workout outside.. Running in the dry soft sand on the beach is a great exersize. I was suprized how quickly this activity kicked my butt this weekend!

Ouch. That has to be a drag! From sun, sand and waves to...........What the hell do they have in NE Ohio anyway? Me, I got the Texas Gulf Coast. Running down the beach here is a real challenge. You gotta dodge the tar balls, seaweed, oil spills and litter from the offshore industries.
Grew up in Northwest Florida, where the beaches are/were beautiful with white sand and clear water. sigh....

Hey now is the time to get out and put the miles on the ole bike(both biped and the Harley). Also love to play tennis for about 2-3 hrs/day til the sun goes down. Softball season is just around the corner too. Boogie boarding at Santa Cruz. God I love summer!!!

Rather than running, try rollerblading, great leg work but lower impact. (unless you fall)

Yeah - I guess falling is where the impact would come in on the roller-blading. It looks like fun but I would hate to crash and take myself out of the game for the whole summer - I'll stick to beach running.

Try sprinting in the sand, what a glute and quad workout.

Yeah it kicks your but but it also does burn a lot....if your aim is to gain then you might have to stop running.Speed walking is a good alternative.
