Any body interested in this?  I figured we could pick a day and everybody posts their progress - good or bad for a dose of congratulations or motivation.  I was thinking wednesday, maybe humpday would be a good day to see something positive or get a reset for the rest of the week.  If a different day works better just let me know what you think.

Cool - Wednesday still good?  Remember to stay consistant and weigh in the morning before eating, starkers.  I weighed myself the other day without clothes and thought Whoa, I lost two pounds in a day?  Turns out my sweats weigh 2 lbs...who knew!

I weighed myself this morning and I was 145.2!  I started actively trying to lose weight about 3-4 weeks before Christmas.  I cut out milk - which I drank like a 2 year old - and lost 3 lbs from that.  I started at about 153lbs.  Nice, no workout for me today tho, the baby was up at 11:30, 2:00, 3:00, and popped up at 6:00.  In-laws were here durning nap time so no rest for the wicked. My in-laws are taking the baby on Friday for the afternoon and little big man is in Daycare for the day.  Which means date-day!...At the gym with hubby. If I can keep it up and lose 1 lb a week I will be at my goal weigh by July.  God how good would it feel to reach my goal by summer.  Motivation for me!  October is the absolute deadline though, which should be doable even if something gets in the way.

Hi there, I have just joined but think that would be a great idea to post progress. i need all the motivation i can get!

Welcome rproudfoot! I've been crazy too, both kids are up all nightsick instead of just 1, potty training mayhem, gymnastics started on Saturday and was not well received and on and on.  I only got workout in and eating has been sketchy.  Doesn't help that I might consider injuring someone for some chocolate right now.  Fortunately we have none in the house. Ahh who am I kidding, unfortunately lol.

Welcome Candle_light, glad to have you.  Let us know where you are starting and how everything is going for you!
This morning when I weighed in I was 143.8!  Whoop! 10 lbs gone - insert victory dance- I finally feel a difference in my body.  3 or 4 more lbs and I can get into my "fat" pants from after my first baby lol.  Good - bye maternity pants! Hubby and I have made a vow to do abs for 10 min every night after the kiddos are in bed.  I think it will make a huge difference in my belly as I can tell the muscles are sooo stretched out.
I found that everytime I wanted to eat something I shouldn't, a little voice reminded me I would have to check in on Wednesday, so this is definitly helping me! How is everyone else doing?

Thank Cermakovia for your warm welcome :) Am 198 lbs !! i gained 6 lbs since New year eve. I started a diet plan a week ago, but I can't make it and can't stick to the plan, and this kinda frastrates me. My goal is to drop 44 lbs, but I lake motivation ..Help :(

I made a New Year's resoution of exercising 3 times a week, and it seems to be going well so far! I ride a friends bike and have started the  Walk at Home videos. I really like them and I do not have to worry about being out in the heat! Makes it nice to exercise and I can choose from 1 mile to 4 miles a day! Really love it!!! :)

frogmania I am jealous of your heat ; it is  -15 C here today, -18 overnight.  Little chilly!
Everyone is sick here including my Personal Trainer (hubby) lol so no gym for us yesterday.  The only workout I've had since Wednesday was this morning at gymnastics with my son. Treadmill for me tomorrow for sure.  Still doing my abs at night.  Took my waist measurement and it was bigger than my hubby's! Now there is motivation....
Candle_light - try making small changes every three days or so.  That way it's not such a shock to your system and your routine. Start by having 3 meals and 2-3 snacks.  At first change the snacks to nice healthy ones.  Then breakfast and so on.  I also do all my prep work in one day - cut all the veggies and fruit for several days, bag or put snacks in containers and plan my menu for the week.  I have a chalk boad in my kitchen with it written out so I know what I need to take out of the freezer in the morning and am mentally prepared and don't have to worry about what to make for supper.
What helped me for motivation was to break down my goals.  Losing 35 lbs seemed a bit daunting.  But getting into fat pants from after my 1st baby seemed doable.  And you know what? Last night I put them and they fit!  I wouldn't want to wear them to Christmas dinner or an a long car trip, but they fit.  My next goal?  My pre-baby fat pants!!! Another 12-14ish lbs.  Not so bad right?

That sucks!  Hope you are feeling better.  If you were dehydrated and had an IV you will probably feel all swollen and gross for a couple days.  Drink tons it will help.  If you can stomach it a yogurt, frozen fruit shake with protein powder will help you get your stength back without feeling like a lump in your stomach and soothe a sore throat at the same time.

thanks i started working out agin yesterday and im so sore...but hey I dont mind being sore from trying to get healthier time to work out again ...I have also decided to start walking for 30 mins a day I know that will help...my mother always told me walking is the best exercise

Hi ladies :) So it's Monday, not Wednesday BUT I'm excited :) I lost my first three pounds this last week! Yay! So now, it's only 38 more pounds to go! And even though it's not a lot, thirty something feels better to me than forty something so YAY!!! :D

---Actually that's perfect!  It means you are gaining muscle and losing fat, the ultimate way to lose.  I need to get to the gym more and do my workouts more consistantly for that to happen, if only the baby would sleeeeeeep.

---Nice work, anyday is good when you have something to brag about!  Keep in mind the posts above, and don't focus tooo much on the number. If the number isn't going down but you feel your clothes getting loser, you're good!

New to the group but works out perfect cause wednesday is my weigh in day. I started at 311 and weighed in at 304 this morning. Today starts week 4, I am a little discouraged since I started strong but haven't seen the scale move for nearly two weeks despite diet and excercise...trying to figure that out. I do think I see some changes in my body size, I'm interested to see my measurements next Wednesday. Other than than I am feeling so much better than when I started so that's progress for sure!

That's awesome, keep up the hard work 3lbs is huge when you don't have a ginat number to loose. Way to Go!

Welcome hibarra82 congrats on the loss and don't worry so much about the number - if you feel better and are losing inches or dress sizes the number doesn't matter.  In fact if you are strength training with your trainer, you may actually go up a pound once in a while as muscle weighs more than fat.

As for me, this week I am 148.6 which basically means I lost nada.  And it's not muscle either lol.  Bad week for me!  Other than crunches I got in no workouts blech.  Plus my MIL's birthday was on the weekend so ended up have a peice of cake.  Little big man has pink eye so both he and the baby have been up at night.  Last night I think I got up six times?  Little blurry so not to sure.  No way I am using what little energy I have to workout.  Nobody wants to see Mommy snap by 5:30.  So once overbody gets straightened out, I'll be doing penance cardio everynight after the kiddos go to bed.

I know what you mean kids make it really hard on us...forget 8 hours of sleep. I hope this week is easier for you and your kiddos feel better. Thanks for the encouragement, I know your right...the scale will eventually move. I don't think I'm going to be a 300 pound woman wearing a size 10, lol.

142.8 still holding, which right now I am looking at as progress considering my week.  Baby is super sick now AND getting his top two teeth.  I am averaging about 4 and a half broken hours of sleep.  My friend has picked her bridesmaid dresses and I have to get measured so they know what size to order. Got to get in gear.  I am just going to get my measurements done and order a size...or 2 smaller.  Now THAT is motivation!

Just weighed, only lost a pound this past week, but am also losing in inches so I cannot complain. Today's number: 202.2, could be worse.

A day late but I'm at 142, just starting to get back on track so next week will be better.  M is back to getting up only twice at  night and ssooo close to maybe just getting up once.  Fingers crossed.

Welcome, we've been slacking  on posting our stats, so it's good to get someone fresh to hold us accountable!
I was at 136.8 today.  I am back at the weight I was after my first baby but look flabbier as I haven't had the time to d
o my strength training with all the sickies in the house.  Now the weather is nice and hubby got the Insanity videos I have been asking for.  Time to get serious before summer.  I want to do trash the dress while it's warm if I'm going in the water!
