So, are there any other police trainees out there? Are you working towards going out for your physical? Any thoughts on training tips, exercises, etc...to do my best?

Just finished the acadamy in Nov. 2000.
Its stressful mentally and phisicaly. I finished in the 85%. For me the sit ups were the worst part. I always do crunches and sit ups were something i didn't enjoy. In my acadamy we ran 3-5 miles 3 times a week, which didn't help me with my mile and half time. So i had to run on my own to get my time down to where i wanted it. I lost a lot of muscle mass do to all the running, but have fun and study your but off and push your PT.
Any other questions write me at bore34@musclemail.com

If you're in the POST program you probably have noticed that endurance exercises will help you a lot. Push-ups, pull-ups, sprints, ab work, along with balance exercises to give you a good solid core to work from. The program is interested in knowing not just how strong you sre but how long you can keep it up. The 3 mile run is good cardio work and good leg endurance. Have fukn and good luck.

My weakness is running, any suggestions to improve? Right now I can go for a solid 1 1/2 mi (13-14 min range).
