Teres

Basics of Teres Major

Quite similar to the Infraspinatus muscle in size, function and location, the Teres muscle is located near the scapula. In fact that is where it originates and attaches to the humerus. It is composed of two parts, the teres minor and teres major components.

Even though this may be a muscle group that most don't directly think about, it is a very significant as part of your complete back muscle group. They work closely with your rotator cuff muscles to stabilize and aid your shoulders.
