 Anatomical Glance

The biceps brachii are divided into two parts, the long head and the short head. The long head is on the outside and the short head is on this inside ~ closer to your body. The purpose of the biceps is to flex the forearm, flex the arm, and to supinate it.

 General Summary

The muscles of the arm are one of the most sought after parts to develop, especially the biceps. Having strong, lean muscular biceps is very appealing, and is often a muscle which is overtrained and therefore over-proportioned to the rest of the muscles. The ideal arm has a very powerful biceps along with triceps. One must understand that the triceps is two thirds of the arm, so the key to larger arms is to increase the triceps, even thought the biceps is the 'trophy'. The goal of the developing the perfect biceps is to create a full and thick look, along with a peak for the men. No bodybuilders tend to strive to develop a lean, slightly defined arm, very attractive. Even though individual genetics determine the shape of our muscles, it is possible to bend the rules slightly and sculpt our arms by different training techniques. Bodybuilders who plan to compete must realize that in today's sport, great arms are a must! They are a show piece in almost every compulsory pose, the lack of impressive biceps will hurt your overall score.
