i am focused on losing weight, in the personalized fitness plan it says protein is best used in the morning when you first wake up. it also says to intake whey protein right after a work out. 2 questions now, 1. do i need to do both if i am working out upon waking up.2. if i am trying to lose weight should i still be taking the whey?

Yes, Whey is to help your body get the protein it needs to build lean muscle. Lean muscle is more metabolically active and will help your body to use calories more effciently. The whey in the morning is to counter act the catabolic effect of the nights fast not eating for 8 hours lets the cortisol run wild and break down muscle tissue. The post work out shake is to counter act the effect of catabolism caused by the break down of muscle during training. It is also necesary to help the muscle get the amino acids it needs to heal. Good luck train hard - Mike
