Well, at 5ft 4 and 220lbs, I would consider myself obese, even though I carry it very well, and most people wouldn't even guess my weight at over 190lbs. However, I have been working on and off to get rid of at least 40lbs, and have found a method that is working. REWARDS!!! For every week that I work out 3 times minimum, I get to go and tan that weekend. I like to be tan, so it is something I want very badly, and thinking "i just have to work out 1 more time and I get to tan" really keeps me motivated. I also bought a pair of pink shorty shorts that are my walking shorts so I feel cute while walking and that helps me want to walk as well. Just thought I would share this, as I think the rewards idea might help some others out there.

Whatever motivates you! Sounds as though it's working... keep up the good work!

Good idea and thanks a lot for sharing!
Giving yourself rewards doesn't necessairly has to do anything with food but other things that make you feel good.
Keep on walking! :)

Well, I did my 3 days last week, and went tanning Saturday! I even spent some money on lotion for doing such a good job last week. Have my workout clothes with me today, and this week I am going to shoot for 3 days with weights and 2 days with cardio and see how it goes.

I hear that skeys. When I lost 25 lbs, I spent $25 dollars on myself. Then at 50 lbs., $50. I'm looking forward to the 75 lb. mark.
