Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.

This lifestyle you have chosen by joining FT will do nothing but benefit you. My wife is a diabetic, and since changing her lifestyle to this type of eating and exercising, no meds in 2 yrs., and contemplating bodybuilding contests! Congrats to you, and glad we at FT can help.

Let's try and keep the two new forums as serious as possible. Thank you, Ron, for setting the right example.

Hey there mmaibohm. I'm with you brother....I have just hit 30 and was sitting on 110kg (10 days later 106kg) and looking at a photo thinking that I wasn't keen I what I was looking at and thought it's time to get myself in shape. I'm getting married on the 2nd of May so I have set that as my goal date to make some major gains by. I am living in Japan and just saw a TV show talking about BCAA and how they help with burning fat. Was wondering whether they are as good as the show was making them out to be. I found this site when I was looking for info so I thought I would sign up. Gotta be easier to do it together right? I have always loved sport and have a good body under this fat filled jacket haha. Time to let is show.

bb1fit thanks for that. interesting to hear the real story. japanese tv shows always seem to come up with these simple ideas about how to loose weight with out trying. thought it must have been too good to be true.

which would be best for burning fat, swimming (1.5km), riding a bike for 40 mins or weights? or what would be the best combo? i wouldn't even think about running at the moment as i'm sure my heart would pop after about 5mins...

I think that everyone can afford to lose a little weight. Cause hey everyone is always changing and our hormones are changing too. I know that as long as we eat, we need to eat healthier and be more conscious about our food choices. Gotta get back to class.
Bye

Should I be concerned with adding any thing to my diet?

Met a girl today who can not smell anything and can hardly taste anything..this sounds rude, but that would really help me shed some fat! If you couldn't taste what you were eating you would have no problem living of bean sprouts and tofu...

Love the fact that my gym advertises itself as 24hour, but is closed on Wednesdays!

Wow....that would make a whole part of my life really sad if I couldn't taste my food. :(

That's the hardest struggle for me...I really like food. Taste, texture, smell. It's like a pastime. *sniffle* :(

hey all,

yep i'm gonna add to this thread, i'm fat i'm fat i'm fat!! Just to get the point across, it's really a losing battle, lose weight, gain stretch marks and loose skin YAYY!! Everything is either huge and bulging or loose and saggy and has a mind of it's own. Oh well i have no sympathy for myself as i made myself like this. Unfortunately i HAD no health problems to blame for my present state but i have plenty now. I'm not depressed about my weight now and am making a conscious effort to decrease not increase hehehehe.

Presently 123kgs and 5ft7, by May 05 hoping to be 60kgs, 6ft 1, blonde and last name kournikova lol. Gosh reality is fuzzy these days......

keep your goals realistic. Take small steps, changes slowly. An all at once approach can have disastrous effects. Can lead to immense cravings, thus huge binging. Let your small goals add up to large ones. This is the smart thing to do. Remember, this is total lifestyle, not a fad diet. Slowly bring healthy habits into your diet while all the while slowly dropping the bad ones. Little changes at a time will add up to amazing results.
