Yeah, I know it's been a minute or 2.
I have come across a snag.. And I'm wondering if it's true for everybody else or if I have some kind of alement.
I lose strength very rapidly, I think.. If I go a week or more without training I notice my strength has dropped. For example If I go to bench my usual weight I notice how hard it is and feel drained of strength and energy..
My diet has been pretty good since I started in the summer of 2007.. It's just been a few months short of 2 years.
So my main question is does everyone lose strength this fast if they don't keep a scheduled workout plan?
I think it's mostly this damn winter weather. And I'm very tired of this place and need to move on with my life

It varies with people. Many will tell you they come back stronger.
Using myself for this answer, I am in the same boat as you. This is why I rarely ever when competing took a week off as many advocate. I absolutely hated that coming back and being weaker.
But, on the upside, in about 2-3 weeks I would actually be stronger. So, if this is your case, simply dealing with the couple weeks mentally will yield good results in the long run.
If you find yourself still consistently losing strength after returning, then this is a sure sign of overtraining. You will need to adjust this so you get more rest, adequate nourishment, etc.

THanks for the reply bb1. I don't know why I posted this. I already new the answers and reasons why I have been losing strength.. I have been looking all over the internet for reasons to start exercising consistently again but I'm just tired of trying to impress myself. I have know Idea why I wanted to get all ripped up in the first place... I would like to keep a nice lean body but man that is hard work made for a life time of consistent exercise.
