a diet as clean as a whistle & cardio will do the trick.
But don't expect next-day results.. Unfortunately love handles are usuall the last to come off and can be very decieving upon looking into the mirror. FOr more in depth answer, there are hundreds of posts on this website about them.. I'm sure you can find one fairly easily.

On training days I exercise 2 x per day. One weight training session...then at least 4 hours later I do cardio 45-50 min.
I learned from a scientific research study that cortisol level rise if you exercise more than 50 min. at a time. This makes your body turn in to flight reflex mode and your body tries to hold on to its fat stores. If you want to get more cardio in that will be fine keep it, but you need to structure your workouts to be productive in losing bodyfat by timing them at least 4 hours apart or more. I hope this helps.
...you may need to increase your calories with productive ones such as more protien...+ good fats...try adding 1 or 2 extra protien shakes and a 1/2 cup of nuts. Try decreasing processed carbs (refined sugar, and flour)and replace them with a raw fruit or veggie. That is all it would take. I have lost love handles and 50lbs doing this...worked great for me.
High Intensity Interval Training(HITT) which is...
Cardio 5x per week 45-50 min
(Circuit)Weight training 3x per week
1 or 2 active rest days (do chores around the house, just don't sit on you bootie)
Get a good nights sleep...and eat clean. Eating clean is like eating the more primative foods...closest to thier natural state. Raw fruits & veggies...whole grains...nuts...berries...lean meats cooked with natural oils...such as olive oil or no oils at all.
If your meal is from a sack or from a box...chances are it ain't good for ya!
