I am interested in the benefits of zma, especially in the sleep benefits it provides. Can women take it? Have any other taken it? your opinion?
    thanks

I don't see why women can't take it. However, you should know that ZMA is not a sleep enducer or tranquilizer...but rather, it helps you obtain REM during sleep.

Yes, they just take a smaller dose. Most brands will have a dose of 3 tablets or 4 for men, 2 or 3 for women.

I have taken a couple of times when having trouble sleeping, great dreams and good sleep and I didn't feel groggy in the morning like I owuld have with a sleeping pill.

my queston though is if ZMA induces the production of testosterone, is this unhealthy for women? what is the effect of more testosterone in a woman's body? or is it insignificant...?

It is not a prohormone. It doesn't have the strength to masculinize you. I have been taking it steadily for a month and really feel it has made a difference in how my muscles feel. My dreams are off the wall, though!

wow sounds great... what does that mean then if you produce more testosterone? just a muscle building thing? any other effects? and if it increases testosterone would it not masculinize you? what is the different between prohormone and this?
    thanks

where do you get it at?

I am not sure where you heard this from, ZMA is but minerals and does in no way produce testosterone. It is an anabolic support formula designed specifically to enhance recovery while improving sleep efficiency. Healing, tissue repair and growth are maximized during sleep, and in this way ZMA enhances the rate(proper, sound sleep).

bb1fit, thanks. I got the information from another website that said it produces testosterone. what does that mean when you say that it is an "anabolic support"? does that mean you recover faster, are there visible effects, tangible benefits?
