I'm 55, been working out steadily since 2003 using FT workouts. I don't lift as heavy as when I started. I've also gotten access to a community gym that has really nice machines. I like the machines because they enable me to work out without a spotter. Free weight squats and press got to where they scared me. PR squat 425, bench 225, deadlift 350 Those probably wont change. My goals involve more flexibility, endurance and cardio health. My Overall cholesterol is 141, triglycerides 112, ldl 77, hdl42. BP is 118/68. Resting heart rate is 56. I believe walking 80 miles a month is more responsible for these numbers than lifting. I don't run because I hate it but I've recently discovered that I love walking. My wife and me work out 3 days a week and walk about 20 miles a week. We organically farm about a half acre and fill two freezers with the early and late crop. The Walmart produce man hates us.
Fitness and flexibility and long active life and continued great sex.
